Teaching Philosophy/Classroom Goals:
My goal for my students is I want all of them to love and enjoy coming to school. I want them to go home every day and say, “Guess what we did in school today?” I believe school needs to be fun and exciting, especially for three year olds. I am a huge believer in encouragement. I want all my students to feel like they can achieve anything if they really believe they can.
Spiritual testimony, how God has worked my life:
I started going to Canyonside when I was four years old up until I was in 6th grade, so Canyonside has always felt like a second home to me. I truly love this school and I feel like my calling in life is to teach children. Not only just to teach them all the academics they need to know in life to be successful, but to be able to teach them about the word of God is an amazing feeling. I recently went through a very difficult time in my life and every time I would come into the doors of Canyonside, I just felt a peace. I know that if it wasn’t for Christ, the staff, parents, and these kids here at Canyonside, I don’t know where I would be. This is truly God’s school.
